I am sorry about this weekend. I would be crying. I do not know how you do it. If I had to work outside of the home, well I am not sure I can do it. Make sure you are good to yourself this weekend. Clarice

Thanks for sharing the laundry room pictures. They give me hope that one day before I am too old to care I will have a laundry space that I can enjoy. Like you, I too do my laundry in a cinder blocked corner of the basement.
Sorry to read that you had to cancel your get-away trip. Sometimes things happen for a reason.....at least that's what I keep telling myself when things don't work out. Don't know if that is always true but I try to think it is. Hope you find some fun things to do at home this weekend and that Glenn is feeling better.

Martha

Awwwwww, girlfriend.

I'm so sorry about your weekend. And I hope Glenn feels better soon.

You crack me up about the music! Because I'm getting to be the same way.

I JUST bought that Maroon 5 CD and Sunday Morning is my fave too! I bought it maybe 5 months ago and now they have a new one out that I want.

And Kelly? LOVE her!

Oh - and John Mayer. LlllOVE him! Especially his first CD. Do you have any of his CDs?

Okay. I could go on and on!! I'll stop now.

LOVE the laundry rooms. Especially the second one. Is that table (the one the machines are tucked under) custom made? LOVE IT!!!

Try and do all sorts of things that you love to do this weekend, girlfriend. Pamper yourself. When I was working full time and feeling like you, my boss would say, "Take care of yourself. This is a marathon, not a sprint. I need you!"

**big hug** for you!

Martha

Sorry your having a bad week, try and relax and enjoy your weekend. Keep playing Sunday Morning, that will make you feel better! Have you heard their new song, I just love it althought the first time I was like what happened to Marroon Five? I t is pretty catchy though. Have a great weekend!

Funny that you mentioned it - I have two CDs that I am playing over and over and OVER again right now - Kelly Clarkston and the BRAND NEW Maroon 5!

Rosemary

That's too bad about your trip. Try to make the best of it at home. My new favorite saying is, "It is what it is"
I'm with you on those laundry rooms. I would love to have a pretty one. Mine is in the garage YUCK!
I love listening to all of those tunes and more on my ipod shuffle. It is so great, because I can wear it while cleaning or gardening etc. Although I don't have a little one running around that I need to hear.
Have a great Memorial Day weekend anyway!
Your friend,
Rosemary

Jen

I'm so sorry for you Kim! I hope you can salvage some peace out of your weekend anyhow.

Gypsy Purple-Chamara

Nice pics...I have to plan mine now so I am gathering all ideas...kind of like the way they hang the "tools" on nice hooks...

Rosemary

great laundry rooms! I am fortunate to have a wonderful one too. Sorry your baby girl is sick! Hope she gets to feeling better soon ;) I can relate to the returning to work and feeling overwhelmed! I just returned to working after being a stay at home mom for 18 years! My baby is still in highschool, so keeping up with her activities, plus housework, and working is overwhelming! Enjoy your long weekend! Rose

First of all, Sister I'm right there in the cinder block basement with you. I hate my laundry room and I would love to have a real laundry room that I can decorate. I will have this one day and I will love to be in it and doing laundry. Until then, I will hate doing laundry. Secondly, I'm also with you on the job thing. And, I did quit on Thursday - I put my two weeks in. I will be going to a diffent company in the hopes that the frustrations and stresses will be fewer. So, I'm happy that I made a change and I hope things are going to be okay for you with your job. I'm sure they will - what ever it is you decide to do. And, I'm glad you are finding some new music - new to you that is. I love both of those songs you mentioned as well. I wish Glenn a speedy recovery.

I love the first photo, especially the zinc tub, totally impractical but nice to look at. That is such a shame about your weekend plans being cancelled, I hope you find other nice things to do instead.
